Most people today use rustic items for their Western home décor. People like to use unique styles, designs and items to decorate their homes. Question about home decoration?
I have a room that needs to be painted a fun color….but I have dark green curtains. No furniture at the moment. Any ideas?

Have you tried Michaels? There are many websites availible that can help. Is there a "western wear" type store locally? Hey, you can always watch an old episode of Bonanza or Zorro for ideas! Seriously!

I love all the styles and all the colors but somehow when I start planning to decorate one of my rooms and I start looking for accents and paint I end up being drawn to the french country mixed with some victorian style…. I have no idea why. I tend to use a lot of blue tones- right now my living room is a beige/gold color with a muted peacock color for accents- I mix it with a few other deep tones and it seems so relaxing! I love it!
My kitchen I like the bright colors, the reds and kind of a country look.
Bathroom I went for a more modern look, pretty minimal though. It keeps it looking clean, it is SO easy to mess up the counters and everything in a bathroom- when it is cleaned and not cluttered it looks nice.
I don't carry a theme through my house- but I do try to make the actual colors "flow" as much as I can.

go to google and do a search for wholesalers that cary items you think you can make money on . A good wholesale book at http://www.covermag.com which lists 4, 000 wholesalers and they will send you a complimentary couple of copies and then you have to subsctribe to it . I have used it for the last 4 years and been deklighted with it . It also lists trade shows all over the country you can attend too . Best of luck

it represents a nautical star which only meaning I can come apart is something sailors used to hope for a safe return home. Now adays its just become something more decorative then meaningful. Probably considered more along the lines of patriotic

Why don't you try local public records or museums. We have a cabin in Warren, PA where there are museums that show how times used to be. You could also try any courthouses in the area.
