Simple Things You Can Do to Make Your Home More Appealing

Not everyone can afford the cost of a renovation or a new home, but you can never go wrong when you cosmetically upgrade the interior and exterior of your home. Investing in the upkeep of your residence not only improves its appearance, but the overall appearance of your neighborhood. It can be cost efficient, simple and quick to do.

On the exterior of your home, power washing the siding or brick can dramatically improve the appearance. Painting the fence, planting some colorful flowers and mulching the trees in your yard can add curbside appeal. The first thing most people focus on when approaching your home is your front door. Painting or staining your door is a simple low cost improvement that can highlight your entrance without the costly expense of replacement. Shutters are also a low cost item, pre-painted, easy to install and can change the appearance and style of a plain looking facade and enhance its charm. If your entrance walkway is in disrepair you can install brick pavers for a warm but elegant, country look. There are many styles, colors and shapes.

The interior of your home may need a new coat of paint. You may want to consider some of the new color schemes available at your local paint or home improvement store. New carpet in the bedrooms or new rugs over a freshly scraped and polyurethaned hardwood floors in your living room and dining room can be a refreshing change. Upgrade the interior trim and add ornamental crossheads above the doorways. If you desire more light, have a larger window installed where you feel the interior can be enhanced by exterior views. Maybe it’s time for new kitchen appliances or modern bathroom fixtures. From new garage doors to installing a new lighting fixture, there are many things you can do to make your home more appealing without spending thousands of dollars.

Take a walk around your home and imagine what it would look like if you made a few minor changes. Just make yourself a list in the order you feel a repair or change is needed. These projects can be a lot of fun for you and your family and time together, well spent.

Lighting is good…
Paint if you need it. It can completely freshen up the place. Window covering can be expensive, but you can also get some nice looking stuff for not a lot of $$$.
General cleaning is great, all that little dust build up in the corners and around light switches and under furniture helps too. Don't do anything wacky with painting like adding texture or wild colors…especially if you plan to sell. What you like might not appeal to the buyer. Keep it neutral. Minimizing clutter makes a huge difference too. Don't have too much stuff hanging on the walls and put on every shelf and table in the room. Filling nail holes and removing clutter from walls is a great thing to do prior to painting so you can cover up those little voids. If you want to spend a little more money.. refacing cabinets to make them more up to date is great, new floor coverings, you can't go wrong there; again, keep it neutral and add color with accents like rugs, pillows etc.
Outside…trim the bushes if you have any, keep the grass looking green (as possible int he summer), maybe some minimal landscaping around the front of the house to add curb appeal. Don't go overboard here either. Try some low voltage or even solar lighting to accent walkways.

Try getting a ball of yarn, putting its favorite treat in the paper roll– fold it on both sides so that way it has to chew to get the treat! Other than that, a paper towel or get a rabbit playpen which is made of wood-natural and safe.

There are some sentence structure issues throughout the essay but other than that nothing major. If this essay is for a college class or even perhaps a high school one, I would recommend you to be more concise in your writing. Sometimes you got a bit wordy and it made your essay difficult to comprehend.

My rating(s):

College class/upper high school: 6.5/10
Other: 8.5/10

From my very brief sting working on animals during a drug screen.

The drug in question went into mice only after passing 4 tests in vitro. Even then it was a small sample unless it worked.

Testing it on humans would involve purposefully infecting people with Salmonella. Since the idea is to kill the animal and see how many bacteria are in the gut, anyone who proposes such a thing is a monster.

In the first place, your paper at present is all one paragraph! Yes, as the first answerer said, identify your thesis and state it clearly–and end the first paragraph there. (If the word "jazz" ends the first paragraph, it's still too long–you have an introduction almost as long as the whole body.)

The beginning is beautifully written, and it would be a shame to take out any of its evocative images. However, to help you get to the point sooner, you COULD save some of those details for a body paragraph or the conclusion. Suppose you break at "daydream and reality" and add a more concrete thesis at that point. Then you can go into the two schools of composition that Debussy participated in and influenced. You might also mention his debt to the Romantic movement.

Now for the mechanics and such:
1. Not "songs based off of," but songs drawn from" or "songs based on."
2. Something seems to have been left out of this sentence: According to One of Debussy’s teachers told him “I am not saying that what you do isn’t beautiful, but it’s theoretically absurd” (Kamien 440)
3. The past tense of "cast' is "cast"–not "casted."
4. "Debussy’s music can be understood through two important aspects of his music"–a bit repetitious? Why not "of it"?
5. "the main style of which Debussy was attributed to"–On generally attributes a quailty or characteristic or innovation to a person, or credits him for it. So reword this.
6. "Paris was at the hubbub of the revolution" I think you just mean at the hub. (Look both these words up.)
7. "different unlike ever seen before" Insert a comma before "unlike" and the word "anything" after it.
8. "viewed the paintings by the French Impressionists threatening to the “perfect” conventional form of art" Either change "viewed" to "considered" or insert "as" before "threatening."
9. Start a new paragraph with this sentence: "Debussy is generally viewed as an Impressionist, but many art historians claim that Debussy was also a Symbolist . . . . "
10. "Just like he composed music based off " Just AS he composed music based ON (This occurs again a sentence or two later.)
11. "enriched" Why past tense?
12. " Regardless of whether Debussy is seen as an Impressionist, Symbolist" Insert "a" before "Symbolist."
13.."remembered as the pioneer altered the course" "The pioneer WHO . . . ."
14. "A variety of events in Debussy’s life . . . " Start a new paragraph here.

Sorry, but I'm getting tired! In the remainder of the paper, look for logical places to begin new paragraphs. And don't say "unique to"–it's "unique among."

I believe that CPS will not try to take the baby as long as you are meeting your son's basic needs, AND you are trying to get medical help and get medications.

A suicide attempt would definitely cause you to lose him!

I would ask my Ob-Gyn for a referral for post-partum depression. That is a serious disorder caused by hormone imbalances and other factors. PPD can keep you from bonding with your child and vice versa, so try to hold him and talk to him sweetly, no matter how bad you feel.

Wellbutrin is a good anti-anxiety drug, but you need something along with it for the depression. Ask your doctor if he can give you samples for the remainder of the 30 days.

Australia has an organization called MIND that helps people in your situation. See if you can contact them for help.

As long as you are caring for your son and there is no abuse, I doubt that the government would allow CPS to remove a child based on what "might" happen. In the US that would violate the Americans with Disabilities Act.

If you can't get samples, tell your doctor your situation, and ask him how many pills it would take to safely wean yourself off Wellbutrin. Then you can plan ahead.

You can always go to the hospital in an emergency. They don't expect the money upfront for the visit.

You can always buy half of a prescription, as well. Just tell the pharmacy.

Good luck to you.

I'm a Christian Baptist and I will tell you what my family and church believes about what it means to be a Christian. First, in order to be considered a Christian, you must believe in the Lord and that He died on the cross and rose again to save you from your sins. Then, you must ask forgiveness and ask Him to come into your life to be your Savior. There are no exact words that you are to pray, but these things must come from your heart. Then, you may want to find a good Baptist church that you can fellowship in and learn more about God and meet other Christian people that can help you grow in Christ. It is also vital that you pray – which is just talking to God as plainly as you would a friend! – and read your Bible to learn about what it means to walk with God spiritually. There are many different Bible translations to choose from; some are easier to read than others. And as you begin your walk with Jesus Christ, you'll want to follow the Bible guidlines and tell others about God. It is not a requirement that you tithe, although the Bible says that you should. And there are no 'strict rules'. The Christian walk with God is not like a religion that you must adhere to little nit picky things. It is simply a relationship with Jesus Christ, and finding a better way of living!
